- When another room also touches the selected room above or below, at the floor/ceiling sectors being adjacent right to the selected wall panels. Now I can choose: the room behind the wall (which is good for a portal), and the room below/above (which naturally makes a bad portal). Plus: if there is no touching room at all behind the selected wall, but there is that touching room above/below those sectors, then the bad portal will be opened right away, without any popup panel.
This is a version without a room behind the wall. Now I hit on the black Portal button:
The solution is:
- When eg. there are two rooms touching the selected room behind the room wall part: one on the left side, and another one on the right side:
a, The selection is more than one panel sized to each touching room - it works well, with an error message. b, The selection is exactly one-panel sized to each touching room - now that panel pops up to choose a portal to one of these rooms. The result is naturally a bad portal, whatever I choose. c, The selection is one panel sized to one of the touching room, and more than one panel sized to the other touching room - now there is no panel to pop up, simply a bad portal will be opened.
The starting position one panel sized on each side:
The solution with one panel selection on one side, and more panels selection on the other side:
