Automatically resolve 'cracks'

The old editor had an option to view 'cracks'. Its view was very unclear though, as it was just cryptically colored faces while cracks actually happen between them.

I am not opposed to adding such a view (in a better form) to the new editor. Instead I wonder though, why we need to care about them in the first place. The only reason cracks matter is because they cause lighting seams and windows outside the level underwater. So we could just automatically fix the cracks when exporting the levels.

On the right all cracks are solved by adding more vertices and faces. This should happen automatically without distorting the texture. Optimally this should also work between portals.
