F1 and F2 do not work.

Open Snuffaluffacuss opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

Hello!

First and foremost thank you for creating this software. I have the new Mac Studio and I cannot get the program to recognize any F keys, F1 and F2 being the target of course. Even trying to do them as cmd and F*, the input field does not recognize them. I am able to do cmd 1 and cmd 2, and they work, but I'd really love to have the F1 and F2 button functionality as those are typically the native buttons on the magic keyboard. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks Jason

What keyboard are you using?

Same issue here, using Apple Wired Keyboard (with numeric keypad.) F1/F2 without FN key, doesn't register in the setting.

I have the same issue with Logitech K750

I cannot set the shortcut to any of the function keys handled in Mac (F1, F2 - brightness, F3 - Mission Control, F7, F8, F9 - playback control, F10, F11, F12 - volume control)

Regular MonitorControl works normally

M1 Mac Studio here, using Logitech MX Keys. Special function F1 and F2 previously worked. Recently (possibly since upgrade to Ventura 13.3.1 but cannot be sure) they keyboard control stopped working. Also unable to successfully set these keys in MonitorControl settings (does not appear to register the keypresses).

Mac Studio M2, using older mac USB keyboard (A2143) havent found a way to use the native F1/F2 either, however as I have a full size keyboard, I used F14/F15 and it works find w/o needing the Function key.
