Some additional info: it already output that it was opening the same pdf multiple times (IIRC, about 15 times in a row, for each document - it's impossible to see...
Arghs, yes, sounds like an annoying issue... :-/ Thank you very much for putting thought into this and making a report! Keeping file names would indeed help a lot to...
I get a different thing in top: Click on document, select redo ocr, confirm. tesseract starts to run. Click on second document. tesseract still runs for a couple of seconds....
I had to restart it, because it wouldn't show any documents (edit: except for the documentation pdf), probably due to that 'too many open files' issue.
Does the video play in your browser? If not, try a different one.
Maybe rather call this 'skip frame in manual mode' ?
Zooming in and out helps to fix this, too...
more info: fstrans=yes is broken in checkinstall. For years... :-(
