Ampersand html code (&) not interpreted to & in search

Hi, love the extension. I've been using it to find if a given page has an hyperlink with specific href and anchor text values. It's been very useful particularly because it still works even if some characters in the anchor text are represented using their html entity code. However, just noticed that it's not working if & in the anchor text is represented using &

Example, if a html page has the hyperlink <a href="https://example.com">Tom &amp; Jerry</a>, searching Tom & Jerry does not find a match on the page. On the other hand, given the hyperlink <a href="http://example.com">Tom &#8211; Jerry</a>, searching Tom – Jerry finds a match on the page.

It seems &amp; is not being interpreted as the html code for ampersand as &#8211; is being interpreted as the html code for en-dash. Thanks.

Thank you.
