[BUG] How do I set this as default photo viewer?
I cant find this option in settings, is it a command line option?
If you are using Windows 10 then go to the About:

And click this button:

And choose right app here:

I did and it does not show Quick Picture Viewer(even tried in admin mode).

Hm, that's strange. Looks like something wrong with the installer. How did you install the app?
I use Scoop which basically extracts the app from the Inno package and makes it portable. Is there no other way to make the app register outside of the installer? I have tried IrfanView, XnViewMP, Nomacs and Imageglass, and all of them can make themselves default even if the app is not registered to the system. mpv.net(media player but can display images) even has command line switches for images, video and audio.
Yes, it is possible to do that. Apparently, Scoop prohibits writing to the Windows registry. I will consider implementing this in version 3.0.0.
Hi, just wanted to let you know, that i encounter the same issue (QPV not showing in "choose App" when trying to set as standard. --> and I installed via the regular installer from the website (as the windows store version always showed me "new version available" ...)

Thank you for the info. This issue happening because the app is not fully integrated with the Microsoft Store. I will try to fix this issue in the next release.
