Feature Request: A new modern flyout for the auto-play feature of Windows

(It's me again you can't stop me 😁 from posting illegal requests lol)

You may have seen a "choose what to do with this drive..." popup on Windows while connecting a USB drive or disk drive to your Windows PC.

It's called the "Auto-Play" pop-up.

This is its current style:

Doesn't look that ugly but I need a replacement like this.

You can't deny this request. It would be GREAT addition to your flyout collection.

Please make this happen 🤗.

If you open one more feature request, I promise I'll perma-ban you from this repo. JK 😂

How would this work?

I haven't really used it recently. I forgot what it does.

Would it open every time or the first time a device is inserted?

Are sure you sure there will be same options for all types of devices?

What types of devices will trigger this popup?

@Samuel12321, does this fall inside our scope? Should we do this given that it is easy to implement?

if it can be easily implemented we could do it. I must admit i do quite like the example provided from windows 10x

perhaps something for 0.9 or 0.10

The auto-play popup doesn't show up on my laptop! I tried inserting a PenDrive and connected my mobile but nothing happens 😞. What about yours @Samuel12321?

Did you disable autoplay in settings?

Try connecting a new pendrive instead.

It is enabled!

I also did set ask every time for each devices. But nothing happens sedly 😢.

And also...

After doing a quick research,

This feature is not going to be a trivial task as the auto-play could be handled by Windows inbox apps, 1st party MS apps and 3rd party apps and each device or the devices' content would result in a completely different set of options.

This functionality is completely dependent on the registry and the required definitions are scattered here and there. Without contributors this wouldn't be easy or even done.

We have to find if there are any custom shells for Windows which does replace the auto-play popup.

Untill then this feature is hella hard to implement on my own (smol brain pls help).

@WindowsFanBoi, I guess your next target would be the UAC popups, ain't they?

Edit:

Please don't ask for it. It's just impossible for us to do. Just stop this insanity at this point please. I beg you...

Would recommend asking @ADeltaX, but he seems to have disappeared.
