MF variables directly available for Config References

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Currently, MF variables need to be read into an output in order to be used as config references. It is proposed that MF variables should be directly addressable in the config references drop down menu, to get a placeholder assigned.

Describe the solution you'd like Include the list of MF variables in the config references drop down menu so that a placeholder can be directly assigned.

Describe alternatives you've considered Alternative is to create an output config, which seems like a redundant step.
