Airpods Microphone Input Not Working

Hej,

During screen capture, the microphone input functions properly when the default internal microphone is selected. However, when using Airpods as the input source, no microphone audio is recorded.

Model: Apple M1 Pro macOS: Sonoma 14.5 (Beta) Version: Azayaka 1.3 (50)

Hi! I can reproduce this. I believe this is because the AirPods (like all? Bluetooth headphones when using the microphone) go into a low-quality handset mode, and this quality level appears to not be handled correctly in Azayaka, so it ends up not recording audio. I'll have to look into the details to create a fix when I get the time - thanks for the report!
