I have a little suspicion that winblows kills Chatterino while saving settings, so it leaves an invalid file behind and therefore can load the settings after restarting. I don't remember...

I like hunspell. We specifically need to ignore emotes from the spell checker anyway. Delivering dictionaries sucks a little but it seems like an okay trade off to me.
