decryptData fails

I am trying to unlock a redmi 13 (global verion).

But decryptData, specifically openssl_decrypt returns false as to indicate an error. For obvious reasons, this stops the rest from working properly. Looking at the values passed to it this makes some sense, the $data does not seem to be proper base64 data. It always looks something like this:

#&^[344 chars of base64 data][1006 chars of base64 data]^&#

manually decrypting either of the separate base64 strings yielded nothing that remotely resembled json.

Is there something obvious i am missing? Is this a known limitation? How can this be fixed?
