Feature request: HTTP controls (feature parity with glutun)
Any chance to add the HTTP controls?
# TESTING
- HTTP_CONTROL_SERVER_ADDRESS=:9988
- HTTP_CONTROL_SERVER_LOG=on
Like this: https://github.com/qdm12/gluetun-wiki/blob/main/setup/advanced/control-server.md
Allows for control by many outside applications, including Homepage polling functionality. Maybe start with a limitted set of functionality, gradually working toward full feature parity? Thanks!
hey @burnbrigther ,
I think it goes over my current skill level and knowledge, but I also miss a bit the point of adding such functionality to be honest. What would you like to control/achieve with such functionality?
Doing this creates a whole lot of new functionality including the ability to control the functions via a third party control facility AND reporting via third party facilities. This will also allow this container to be seen/used in bookmark/dashboard utilities like: homepage, influxdb, Grafana, homer, etc. A finally this puts more features on par with gluetun. Gluetun has had this functionality for a long time.

My skill level to implement it might be way too low, I can try to look into it when I have a bit more time, tho.
