Hi! Newsbeuter is no longer maintained; I'm keeping a fork at [newsboat/newsboat](https://github.com/newsboat/newsboat). I've re-submitted your issue there because I find the idea interesting. You can track the progress in newsboat/newsboat#4....
Wonder why [Travis didn't catch this](https://travis-ci.org/akrennmair/newsbeuter/jobs/220344381)—does 6.2.0 20160901 that's [used there](https://travis-ci.org/akrennmair/newsbeuter/jobs/220344381#L283) differ *that* much from 6.3.1? You can try doing `export CXXFLAGS=-Wno-sign-compare` before compiling, but that probably won't help because...
Compiler versions don't seem right. g++ 6.3.1 has date 20170306 but 6.3.0 has 20170406?
I thought "6.3.0 20170406" is upstream version and Debian/Ubuntu only change package version ("6.3.0-12ubuntu2" in your case). If it's so, then the date on 6.3.0 should be earlier than the...
Well, our TT-RSS API interface hasn't significantly changed in the last 4 years—maybe we aren't using the best available ways of fetching stuff anymore. By the way, I'd be glad...
Thank you for the report! I'm not ready to say if this is a bug or not. [Wikipedia article on percent-encoding](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Percent-encoding) states that "[r]eserved characters that have no reserved purpose...
Code-wise, this is caused by us calling [`utils::censor_url`](https://github.com/akrennmair/newsbeuter/blob/7027b9b4e58d7df97a064f2c96dd9a9081fe3290/src/utils.cpp#L808) from [the HTML renderer](https://github.com/akrennmair/newsbeuter/blob/81d67055447000fe560c91d9a10bd8cdc440cb6b/src/htmlrenderer.cpp#L132). It decomposes the URL using `libxml2`'s `xmlParseURI` and then puts it back together with `xmlSaveUri`. The latter function...
This task kinda slides day after day. I won't make any more promises for now, just know that I'm not dead yet :)
I submitted [an upstream bug](https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=778179) about this.
Got a reply on that upstream bug. Apparently RFC allows different behaviours, so there's no bug in libxml2. Twitter is in the wrong for not decoding the percent-encoded characters, but...
