MessengerPro Non-root users unable to install Facebook app alongside Messenger Pro

As the titles states, Non-root users cannot use both Facebook APP and the modded APK Messenger Pro alongside each other. Any fix for this?

I have the same issue. It seams to have a conflict for in the permission of both app.

I solution for this from a similar patched messenger by changing permissions from the AndroidManifest.xml I tested it for my self and it fixed the problem.

Open patched Messenger in app like MT Manager
Open AndroidManifest.xml as String pool
Filter com.facebook.permission.prod.FB_APP_COMMUNICATION & change it to app.facebook.permission.prod.FB_APP_COMMUNICATION
Filter com.facebook.receiver.permission.Access & change it to app.facebook.receiver.permission.Access
Save & Exit
Sign the app
Install

I'm using the current version and I have the note feature in messenger, strange. Anyway, the next supported messenger version will be 433, released one week ago.

Tried that version now, and it has the note feature on my account. The modified messenger does not have the note feature on my end. So I'll just wait for the update. Thank you for this wonderful mod!

I was trying for hours by myself trying to figure out how to fix the same issue the op ran into, as Facebook was bloatware on my phone. and I adb uninstalled all Facebook related packages, and it didn't work. the link you sent did fortunately work for me tho. but for some reason I don't see the features Messenger Pro has except for the chat heads one from the mrv patch manager. I forced closed the apps and even restarted my phone but it didn't work :(((((

If you have installed the pro version of the app then open it once and then go the messenger app and then open the left side menu. Press and hold on your name and it should open the pro menu where you can learn and toggle all the features. Then go back to any chat and access the pro shortcuts by swiping left from the top right part of your screen. It should give you a small floating menu for toggling the features. Try it and see how you go.
