Tab bar width

I would like a tab bar that is less than the width of the screen. How can I adjust the width? Interesting for example to imitate the Apple Music application on iPad ... Thanks.

Can you please share a screenshot? I don’t own an iPad and I have never tested this on an iPad

Here is a Apple Music App screenshot on iPad, I would like to adjust the tab bar width to present my mini player next to it.
