Steps to Reproduce:
- Clean vanilla minecraft installation, install forge for 1.8.9 with the installer.jar
- Make a map with compass in the middle & paper, open the map, then upgrade the map with paper in the crafting table.
- You will see the newly created map with the red 0 over it, that cannot be shift-clicked out of crafting, and when read the map will disappear from your inventory.
Very weird bug, when creating a map, and attempting to upgrade/zoom out that map with paper in the crafting table, the newly crafted map is bugged, and will completely disappear from the inventory when used. It also cannot be shift-clicked outside the crafting table and has a red "0" over it.

It will be incredibly difficult to try and fix this bug for 1.8.9. I don't even think the workspace works for it anymore. I'll keep this issue open so that people are aware, but I don't know if we will be able to do anything about it for now. Also, a mod list would be nice.
