Rail network controller doesn't work at all

Open josephcsible opened this issue 7 years ago • 6 comments

None of the functionality of the rail network controller works. When I right-click, I just get an entirely gray screen with nothing on it (except the JEI interface). When I left-click a signal, it just breaks it rather than turning it green, and when I right-click a signal, it just opens the gray GUI as if I right-clicked something else, rather than turning it red. Tested on 1.0.0-0 for 1.12.2.

The Rail Network Controller is not in a completed state atm, could it be that you opened it in a world without rails+signals? That would explain it. A zooming mechanic and misc GUI elements are missing atm.

I had rails, signals, stations, and minecarts, all in my immediate vicinity.

Hmm okay I'll check it out...

Ah run into the same problem myself, I found out the rail network controller doesn't work well with carts standing still. It needs one initial cart to pass a signal to start showing. This is obviously not ok.

The cart hopper has a similar problem, it doesn't seem to be properly initialized for extracting items (putting stuff into a cart works right away). Only once I read this issue and placed a signal on the rail did it start working. I was then able to unload carts even after removing the signal. I had to again place a signal after removing the hopper and placing it again.

This has now been resolved in version 1.4.0, @aranian :)
