Railcraft Switch Support
WTTS
@robotbrain what does "WTTS" mean?
what the title says. the request is for signals to be able to switch railcraft switches
You probably don't need to access the switches directly. There are control boxes that can relay signals as needed. @robotbrain Also, for operating railcraft switches, you can use redstone. Or use redstone on those control/relay boxes that operate the switches. I bet those signals for sure are able to emit it.
Robotbrain probably means allowing Signals to automatically switch the switches when routing carts. As soon as RailCraft is released for 1.12.2 I will look at it. In fact, my API should already allow for it.
Worth pointing out that railcraft is already out for 1.12.2. Covert Jaguar is AWOL right now and the license doesn't allow for anyone but him to push updates. However, a 1.12.2 branch exists which you can compile yourself to test compatibility and get a leg up before Covert Jaguar returns and merges the branch for an official release.
I have looked into it, but it looks like the current 1.12 branch doesn't even have switch tracks enabled.. https://github.com/Railcraft/Railcraft/blob/liach-1.12.2/src/main/java/mods/railcraft/common/modules/ModuleTracks.java#L53-L55
Apart from this I guess CJ will first release an alpha/beta version, so I can add support while in that stage.
i think the switches are back, but i'd wait for a public alphda of rc first.
Actually if the cart could take on the name of its destination RC would be able to do the routing, as RC is able to read the cart custom names.
The ability to convert destinations to redstone signals (similar to RCs Routing detector blocks) would also help to route signals carts propperly.
Actually there is a RC Version out now. (As of March 16th)
