🐛 USB Display driver not using GPU on Windows 10 (V2.0.1.7.3) – Causes delay and missing cursor

System Information

  • OS: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 (Build 19045)
  • Architecture: x64
  • Device: USB Display Adapter (detected as MS USB Display in Device Manager)
  • Partially Working Version: MSDisplay_Windows_V2.0.1.7.3.exe
  • Non-Working Versions (no image output):
    • MSDisplay_MultiDev_v1.0.0.18.0.exe
    • MSDisplay_MultiDev_v1.0.1.60.exe
    • MSDisplay_MultiDev_v1.0.1.4.exe
    • MSDisplay_MultiDev_v1.0.1.3.exe

❌ Actual Behavior

  • V2.0.1.7.3 successfully renders the screen, but:

    • There is noticeable input delay.
    • The mouse cursor is missing on the USB display.
    • GPU usage remains at 0%, even when explicitly configured via Windows graphics settings.
  • All MultiDev versions install and detect the device but fail to initialize or render any image.

🔍 Additional Information

  • Logs show:
    • Win8ScreenDriverImpl initialization failure.
    • Fallback to "standard screen driver".
    • Missing screenhooks32.dll in some versions.
  • The system has both Intel HD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti GPUs.
  • App has been manually assigned to use the integrated GPU (Intel) via: Settings > System > Display > Graphics Settings, with no effect.

You can download new version from this site, works perfectly for me: You need select driver factory "MacroSilicon", after that "MacroSilicon Usb Display"

http://www.macrosilicon.com:9080/download/USBDisplay/Windows/Installer/V41/

Which one worked for you?

Also, do you use another HDMI Seran with that screen?

Any version, except Windows 7. If you choose [WinUSBDisplay_Windows_V4.1.10.25.exe], you will need force drive install in the folder where the driver is installed. If it the [MacroSilicon USBDisplay Driver Windows10_11 Ins.] you will find the driver em device magnment and choose the Browser my computer for drive, choose manufatory MacroSilicon then choose "MacroSilicon Usb Display"
