Software stuck in loop – opens and closes repeatedly

Open 3rubioo opened this issue 8 months ago • 2 comments

I’m having an issue with the USM USB Display software. As soon as I launch it, the application starts and immediately closes, then opens again, and continues doing this in a loop. The icon keeps flashing in the taskbar as if it’s trying to launch but fails every time.

I’m using Windows 11, and the issue happens even after a clean reinstall.

I use WinUSBDisplay_Windows_V4.1.10.25.exe version from http://www.macrosilicon.com:9080/download/USBDisplay/Windows/Installer/V41/,

Steps:

Step 1: Open Device Manager

Right-click the Start button and select "Device Manager"

Look for your USB display device (it may appear as "USB Video" or similar under "Universal Serial Bus controllers")

Step 2: Update Driver

Right-click on the USB display device

Select "Update Driver"

Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"

Step 3: Manual Driver Selection

Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"

Click "Have Disk"

Browse to the installation folder: C:\Program Files\Win USB Display

Select the appropriate .inf file for your system

Step 4: Driver Selection

Choose manufacturer: MacroSilicon

Select driver: MacroSilicon Usb Display
