IIUC, the error says the extension is already installed in your extensions folder. You can either delete the existing directory or use it as-is, if it is a working installation.

I'm getting this same error, but my extensions folder has nothing in it but "put extensions here.txt"

The tmp folder has the sd-webui-controlnet folder with nothing but the .git folder inside it.

Well, deleting the sd-webui-controlnet folder within the tmp folder and running it again seems to have fixed it.
