qbittorrent: "Add torrent" UI improvements & timesavers
i really like the concept of this plugin. it is definitely handy for web UI users such as myself. however, there are quite a few instances where i am adding a torrent and need to change certain things, such as:
- editing file priority (skipping certain files within the torrent from being downloaded, low/high/max download priority)
- renaming files (in qbt you can rename files by right clicking and hitting "Rename")
- toggling sequential and/or first & last piece downloading, as well as skipping hash check
- content layout (subfolder, no subfolder, original)
i realize that points 3 and 4 are already technically present, but only as a persistent option within the extension settings. not being able to do it directly from the popup when adding a torrent is a bit of a hassle and requires me to start the torrent paused, then manually open qbt's webui to change them there. if it's possible to have these options on the dialog pop up, it would save me lots of time
for reference, here is what the current qbt popup looks like:
and here's a basic idea of what the new one would look like:
additionally, it would be really handy if the popup could remember what your previously-selected download location was, rather than have to constantly set it per-torrent. also being able to manually type the directory in rather than have to add a new line to the location list would be nice.
these improvements, in my opinion, would make this extension basically perfect, provided these are even possible in the first place, unless there's some sort of limitation that would make these improvements impossible/very difficult
Pretty much all of these are on the backlog. Handling file priorities will be kinda hassle as you need to make multiple api requests
@Mika- Can add "Content Layout" please
