Bullet Drag Calculation
Was requested by a user on the Discord, might be a nice post-launch feature. Apparently we had one for BF1?
Yes we had one in the forum but the post is now lost in cyberspace :( (not among cached pages). The code was not too difficult and could be digged up from somewhere again.
Perhaps we can make it really vague, where users plug in the values themselves, that way it's not game-dependent. Then we could just have an eventual general "Tools" page or something.
Hmm that could work (we also had the "Tools" page on Symthic but did not have much use ^^'). Although drag calculator could be restricted to very few games as the underlying algorithm varies, so it is almost easier to guide people to do plotting on plot.ly or other sites.
Would it be possible to create "template formulas" to plot.ly or other plotting sites and link to them in game mechanics page? E.g. "The drag is calculated with [formula here]. You can try it at [link to template] by inserting correct values".
Yeah that could probably work. Then just slap it into the General Info pages for games that drag occurs in
