Google has proposed an amendment to RFC 6265 to remove the ability for a non-secure origin to overwrite cookies whose secure flag is set.

Chrome Platform Status shows that Chrome & Firefox have shipped. Is this being considered for Edge? ASP.NET Core MVC team have proposed changes to accommodate this.
