Update rings = Feature rings too?

The documentation says:

_Microsoft Intune settings The following are the Microsoft Intune settings:

Check Description Update rings for Windows 10 or later Verifies that Intune's Update rings for Windows 10 or later policy doesn't target all users or all devices. Policies of this type shouldn't target any Windows Autopatch devices. For more information, see Configure update rings for Windows 10 and later in Intune._

What is an "Update rings" here? It's both a setting called Devices | Update rings for Windows 10 and later but one could argue that Devices | Feature updates for Windows 10 and later (preview) is also an update ring. So it's hard to know if it's "update rings" the one specific blade or "update rings" the grouping one talks about in the doc. I assume the latter as I see Feature update policies created too. It should perhaps be mentioned in a paranthesis (Update ring and Feature ring)
