Leverage image sprites for product pivot pages to minimize latency and requests.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Loading the product pivot page (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/#pivot=products) causes over 240+ individual requests, many of which are made in order to load discrete SVG files. This is nearly a gaurantee that some number of requests will stall, and is especially noticable if you jump to the "Architecture" tab as these images load last (and therefore would never load).
Describe the solution you'd like Combine these individual images into a single (or few) sprites; leverage these across the site. This will drastically cut round-trips, and make for a much more network / low-power / high-latency friendly experience.
Describe alternatives you've considered [None]
Additional context [None] - image loads are readily visible via Fidder / Chrome Network tools / or equiv.
Thank you for creating the issue! One of our team members will get back to you shortly with additional information.
@mjyeaney Thanks for the feedback! I know that slow loading times can be frustrating. We're in the process of redesigning this entire page to be more user-friendly and utilize fewer images—I'll follow up here when the redesign goes live.
