ISFratio link points to an incorrect file
ISF Ratio link points to an incorrect file
- [x] The relevant Azure service or technology. This ticket is regarding the ISFratio file that is provided by Microsoft for Reserved Instances.
On the article "Virtual machine size flexibility with Reserved VM Instances" there is a link provided by Microsoft that points to the Instance size flexibility ratios.
This file has a format with three columns: InstanceSizeFlexibilityGroup, ArmSkuName, Ratio.
Previously, this file had a unique ArmSkuName for each line, as it is supposed to be. This ArmSkuName looked something like "Standard_DS1_v2" and could be used to identify the product it relates to.
Currently, the file has many lines with the same ArmSkuName, making it impossible to assign a line to a specific product and making the file unusable. Additionally, the ArmSkuName now looks something like "Basic Logs" or "5000 GB Commitment Tier", which is not a recognisable product.
The ratios also do not look as before, as there are very large ratios in the file (e.g. six number figures like 322260).
- [x] Clear, specific feedback that the author can act on. The link to this file should be restored to reflect the file with unique ArmSkuNames and the correct ratios.
The file is used for Business Insights purposes to calculate the effective usage of a reservation, currently it is not possible to identify the product and, thus, the ratio from this file.
