Owner field is filled - the documentation is wrong?

[Enter feedback here] In the document there is a note "Hybrid Azure AD joined Windows 10 or newer devices don't have an owner." I don't think this is still true, we have almost every entry filled by AAD name. So what is correct behavior and purpose of the "owner" field, please?

It is populated by Intune if the primary user is set there. It is not settable directly in Microsoft Entra ID
