Can azure DNS Resolver be used with Managed Private End Point. Like i want to read data from on premise SQL from Synapse where private managed end points are enabled for synapse. I don't want to use Self Hosted Integration Runtime

I am creating the Azure Synapse Analytic workspace as shown in this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/synapse-analytics/security/synapse-workspace-managed-vnet

My question is inside of Synapse Workspace i create linked service, that should connect to my on-premise SQL server. But it fails with error server not found.

so my question will Azure Private DNS Resolver help with creating Linked Service from Synapse to On-premise SQL Server ?

Hi @nssidhu,

I am afraid it does not look like you are referring to a document but to a specific scenario. If that's the case we request you to please post your question on Microsoft Q&A and other forums, we have our engineers and others who are monitoring them and will be happy to help.

To address your query, Private DNS Resolver cannot be associated to a Managed Virtual Network. However, how to create the linked service inside Synapse is out of scope for this document.
