Good place for missing release configuration information

Open Krytical13 opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Hi All! This page is where people might end up after failing to be able to install Office applications together. For example, I wound up on this page because I was running into an issue installing Visio 2019 VL along side O365 ProPlus.

Thanks to "Herb Gu" on this Technet thread

As you can see in his post, he provides two links, and then more data that we need related to changing the release configuration to "broad" instead of the standard "PerpetualVL2019"

This information he provides about the specific release channels is not provided on either of the support pages he links, nor this page I am commenting on, but it could definitely be helpful if that information was added and linked to on one or more of these pages.

Thanks!

Hi. I stumbled upon this while looking for info about my company’s deployment of ProPlus vs Apps. (They’ve been having trouble getting me ProPlus, which I’d had before,) I’m not technical, but I read the MS Support article about deploying two versions at once. I think they tried that, but it didn’t work. I also read about deploying ProPlus to one group first and Apps to another group. I’m an editor who relies heavily on formatting. Any idea why they would decide to put me in the Apps group? Also: Any advice on how to politely escalate this (essential ProPlus features, or possible risks of Apps?) It’s been almost a month, and I’m afraid the clients will start to notice. My job could be at risk. Thank you in advance.
