edited http into https for quering the OSM api ... hope this edit is enough, or still something missing?

Hello @MichaelVL , is there an easy way to see whether this tiny patch makes OSMfocus work again with recent OSM api?

Hi, You will need to build the application and upload it to either a simulated or a real Android device to test it. This requires you have an Android development environment installed, but is otherwise not particularly complicated.

Hello, I can confirm this PR fixes the app. I've created an unofficial repository based on Android Studio (and that includes this patch too): https://github.com/fansanelli/osm-focus I've published the repo just in case someone else wants to build it using Android Studio. Francesco
