Information: currently on YouTube Version 17.42.6 or later, Google decided to end support on the following versions iOS 12+13 which may affect a lot of people that uses them. It’s hard to say about this but hope uYou still gets an update like from this topic. love to see uYou’s improvements in the future! - Edited on 10/25/22
Changes for uYou 3.0 (Updated on 10/25/22)
- Better Download Speeds! the youtube-dl should be replaced with yt-dlp which is better and faster for the uYou Tweak. and a link for the yt-dlp is right here https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp
- iPhone Layout toggle, enables the iPhone Layout, this will be used to only use iPhone exclusive features that iPad version of YouTube doesn’t have.
- Ability to export downloaded Content in the uYou Tab, this features needs to be on uYou 3.0’s update because at the moment we can download our favorite YouTube videos/songs in the uYou tab but we aren’t able to export the mp4/mp3 to our camera roll.
- Notifications Tab API, an api for users that want to add tweaks for uYou, this grants you the ability to give back the notifications at the bottom bar on the app if not liking it on the Navigation Bar at the top.
- Community Posts for iPads, a toggle which enables the Community Posts for the iPads. But uses the iPhone version because it’s not natively meant for iPads.
- Limit downloads to Wi-Fi only, this is needed for users that don’t want their data to get consumed by downloading files with Cellular data, we need an option for this. #150
uYou Tweaked Additonal Changes Towards YouTube v17.42.5 or Higher
Disclaimer: this one is for the new pointless features youtube adds which needs to be toggled off if it’s not needed.
- We need a new way to sign in. MiRO92 I hope there’s a workaround to let anyone sign in because v17.33.2 or newer has changed the the methods. #154 (note: uYouPlus fixes the problem in the most recent versions but I can give you the code from it so you can implement it if needed.)
- A setting in uYou should have the ability to grant users the old menu for video menu so they should be able to toggle "Oldest Videos" on a YouTube Channel. #161
- Swipe-Up for Full-Screen Gesture, this new gesture came out whenever v17.19.2 released and this is very uncomfortable towards some iPad users. You swipe up to go into full screen even though YouTube already had a gesture can take you into full screen by pinching your fingers on the screen and also swiping up could be accidentally toggled if you cleaned your screen so this one is important.
uYou 2.2 Suggestion
This message is for MiRO92 if uYou 3.0 isn’t possible then uYou 2.2 will show lightweight stuff instead of all of these additions above #164

Recently updated the bug fixes and uYou Changes for YouTube Version lists! Added a 4th bug that also has trouble with uYou! and added a new interface change for that YouTube version!
Nope, I’m not capable of any of this. If I learnt how to actually code and then I would actually be able to do this and also uYou isn’t Open Source so this explains why I suggested all these features and bug fixes anyways.
I have changed a few things here! YouTube 17.30.1 and Settings Reposition suggestion! This will make uYou have easier access to settings instead of going into the uYou Tab to change stuff!
I know not all of this is possible but at least I told MiRO92 a load of ideas!

I have recently updated this! Made it easier to read and added 2 needed features in this Request
- iOS 16 Compatibility
- iPhone Layout Toggle
Guys I’m gonna make another topic but suggestion for uYou 2.2, there’s a crap ton of issues recently happening on 2.1 because of googles server side changes.
