unable to change player tracers from default colour

Describe the bug

The player tracers are not updating colours, and are staying as the default gray. The opacity updates, but not the display colour.

'Rainbow' preset is also visibly showing a colour shift in the tracer menu, but not updating on the client side.

I'm at a loss for what the issue could be, as other tracers work fine with customising the colours. It is specifically player tracers that are for some reason stuck as default.

Steps to reproduce

Used 1.21.10 meteor Tried to update tracer colour It didn't update.
