auto eat keeps sheild up

Describe the bug

i had food in main hand and a shield in offhand because auto eat keeps holding down the "mouse button" it holds the shield instead of eating maing it let go for a tick between eating whe a sheild or something is in the offhand would be nice to prevent this bug

Steps to reproduce

1. have a shield in ur offhand
2. have food in the hotbar
3. turn on auto eat at a point where u need to eat multiple pieces of food
4. shield comes up and stays up instead of eating
