MAME exclusive dumps = MAME minus Redump

Hi. It's possible to have a DAT file with only MAME dumps. The dumps that are in Redump are not needed. I would like to keep the Redump dumps in their original format, not convert them to CHD. Thank you.

Yes, it's definitely possible. MAME-exclusive dumps are mostly Tosec. There has already been a request to split them. I also wanted to check if the Tosec dumps could be compared with Redump and deduplicated. I'll leave this issue open as a reminder.

If you prefer to do it manually, you can simply keep the games at the bottom of the .dat file. MAME CHDs are stored in a subfolder.

OK. So, are the MAME exclusives always in subfolders? It's also possible to compare them by name, the CHD files that were converted from Redump have the same name as the Redump files.

Hi. One question: What program do you use to do the deduplication?

I use a custom-programmed tool for merging / deduplication .

I think SabreTools does that.
