Copying a filetree package with embedded multi-byte characters to an .mcz is trouble

in Pieter's case, the file is being copied from filetree to mcz file, I also need to throw an error if one attempts to write an mcz with multi-byte method source or comments ...

Can't we just encode to utf-8?

.mcz files do not specify an encoding ... if you end up creating a WideString the .mcz file is created with an instance of WideString which causes any non-Squeak based mcz reader to blow chunks at best or produce total jibberish at worst ...
