[Bug]: More than 9 addresses, new addresses cannot be created

Describe the bug

I tried using the metamask browser plug-in to create a new address, but I didn't see the new address generated.

For example, I create the account aaa, and then I can’t see aaa in the list.

The browser I use is Google

Expected behavior

Create new address successfully

And are the their an errors in the chrome dev console?

Do you have your SRP/any PK associated backed up? If yes, please try installing the extension on another browser (ex. Brave) and see if the issue persists.

Also, please try to make a screen recording while you're trying to create a new account.

Just a note confirming that in a quick test I was not able to reproduce this on chrome 117.0.5938.92 on my mac with Sonoma 14.0 and extension 11.3. Created 10+ accounts, also used the name aaa and account was created and could still create accounts after that.

I recorded the screen and the phenomenon is like this

Tried it out on macOS Catalina with Metamask (Version 11.3.0) and successfully created 11 accounts in both Brave (Version 1.59.124 Chromium: 118.0.5993.117) and Chrome (Version 118.0.5993.117). Could be an issue just for Windows users, any other Windows user that could confirm wether this is a bug or not for them?

I get the same behavior, but I am trying to create account number 8 on newest firefox pop_os.

I attached the firefox console output, (it puts out nothing new after hitting the create button).

Happened with me too. Same as the video posted above. Nothing new in the console
