Improve upon #1493 and add new sections to align with proposed IA.

I like the changes to the "where do I start" section on introduction and the checkmarks instead of green and red icons.

Also, should we update the main landing page?

You're right, we should tweak the wording, but I'll open a separate PR for that because the Activation team will have to approve as codeowner.
