Suspend to disk instead of RAM

Hi, what is the likelihood of adding suspend to disk feature in Nyrna? (I saw the notice about CRIU in the main page)

I do have a potential method to do this, it just requires the time to investigate and develop it (which has been in short supply).

It would only be for Linux.

Nice! I'm intrigued to know your idea in a glimpse 🙂

Seems like Wayland will be able to enable this, as described here.

That's great. Thanks for the link!

Just as a suggestion (without knowing any of the implementation details): I know X11's days might be outnumbered, but it'd be awesome if an DE-agnostic approach can be used. If OS-agnostic, that'd be such a blessing but I understand it might not be possible :)

If you mean able to work on various desktops like KDE, GNOME, xfce - absolutely if it is at all possible (I haven't done a dive yet into if this is kde-specific).

If by OS-agnostic you mean available for Mac & Windows in addition to Linux, that definitely won't happen. I have grave doubts it would be possible on those systems at all, but if it were it would require a ton of OS-specific development. Someone who uses those systems would have to step up to implement and maintain that feature for their respective OS.
