Reuse last value not working on 1-N relation form

I have downloaded sample project from Link Multiple Records to One Feature (1-N Relations) and I have 'Reuse last value option' turned on in the settings and then in the form for Date and Inspector filds, but when I'm adding more records to the feature the last value is not prepopulated in the form. Any ideas please? I'm running the app on iPad, 15.0.1

this is related to the same quirk that happens when you open an existing feature to edit it and check on the "Reuse last value option". The next time you create a new record the checkbox will no longer be checked. It can mess with your mind when you think "I'm sure I checked that box earlier today.
