Option to disable automatic search mechanism

I am in a very early stage of testing the application on iPhone to see if it's useful for field work. Many congratulations to the development team, it looks very promising at that stage! While I managed to load a +2GB geopackage database with +680.000 land parcels, I have problems searching for specific parcel numbers caused by the inbuild automatic search mechanism that immediately starts when I enter some text.

Would be nice if there is an option to deactivate autosearch for certain layers or maybe globally.
