Did you run LintR before actually running SonarQube scanner? The stacktrace is saying that the JSON file for LintR outputs is empty.
I have checked it - and apparently the source file to be consumed by the sonar-scanner command has already been created prior to invoking the sonar-scanner command. Moreover, I output the content of the file with a "cat" command - and it is not empty.
