OC ready notification
Will not be added as 1) I have added the OC timer to Information window for easier tracking and 2) normal users won't be executing the OCs anyway most likely as there are dedicated Faction users who deal with OCs (usually).
If this becomes relevant/wanted in the future then will reopen.
I've reopened as a suggestion for "OC Advanced" option to get notifications for all Ready OCs.
In some factions it is pretty normal for everyone to initiate OCs and just re-plan them, makes it a bit more efficient as long as nobody forgets to re-plan that is.
The OC timer currently only works if we have faction API access (which most don't), is there a reason for us not to scrape the finish times from the OC page when the user visits it? I know one is not allowed to automatically scrape data, but does this also apply to pages which the user visits manually?
It technically is possible and allowed (you can scrape pages if they are manually loaded). But it doesn't seem worth it to complicate the system even more. Solving issues around this would also be a hassle, in no way it seems worth it to allow non-AA-members to use this.
Proposal
- When updating the crimes for factions, also check for roles.
- Check if the user has OC permissions.
- Send a notification for new OCs that are available for being initiated (ready and all users are okay).
