Activation Error when trying to pair WiiMote

When trying to pair any Wiimote I get this error: I've tried reinstalling the drivers, and making sure to remove any possibly conflicting drivers, as well as restarting and nothing seems to work. I've also tried other Wiimotes and I get the same error.

Searching for controllers... Found 2nd-Gen Wiimote+ ("Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR"). Attempting to pair now...

Did you ever resolve this? I have the same issue Searching for controllers... Found Wiimote ("Nintendo RVL-CNT-01"). Attempting to pair now...
