"Failed to get device ID" S9+
I'm getting failed to get device ID error. Screen is staying black.
Screenshot attached, any help would be appreciated thanks!
This seems to be a defect, but I can't say what is causing it right now. I will let you know when will find something.
Hello, I get this error too on my Galaxy Note 8.
Same... But if i try it like 50 times this happens... Btw it doesn't boot and i have an s8... Btw were all on the flagship Ss and Notes so it could possibly be to do with knox
?
having the same issue with my pixel 3, ive tried two different cables (usb c to usb c and usb c to usb a, but with a usb c adapter) with the same results. it was able to read the id one time but now it won't even do that :(
Can't reproduce this on my Galaxy S9+ (Exynos) nor my Pixel 2 XL running Lineage OS
I am able to launch payloads on my S20 after I messed with developer options.. and force to enable usb.
S series phones are a pain sometimes.
I would say, that all Samsung devices are pain for developers 👍
Hey I'm the op I found a fix, I tried a different cable and it works, so I put it down to not all USB cables are compatible for some reason. Hope this helps
@ELY3M I also own a S20 5g and I'm getting the same error... Which option did u enable?
Same issue here with Pixel 5 / Android 11 After activating USB debugging and force data transfer by default when usb connection detected in developer options, I got the Device ID working. But it fails now at "sending payload failed at offset xxxx" No solution found
