Random highlighing of tokens

Type: Bug

If I accidentally hit Cmd+S to save (habbit) then it will highlight several tokens on the screen & will not go away. I think that there are other triggers, but I have not been able to identify them. I narrowed down the issue to this plugin using the Bisect command (https://code.visualstudio.com/blogs/2021/02/16/extension-bisect).
