"libdv" DV sample file: No info from MediaInfo

Open pjotrek-b opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

The following DV sample gives absolutely no output in MediaInfo. :scream:  http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/libdv/pond.dv?download

This is not urgent at all - just very strange

pond-mediainfo_nothing

The sample is provided on the website of libdv.sourceforge.net and has the following annotation:

"For the curious, this file was captured with a Canon Elura camcorder (now discontinued). The camera was operating in its progressive-scan mode, which is better suited to computer display. The scene is of a popular duck-pond (for the ducks anyway) here on OGI's campus."

The file plays absolutely fine (VLC, MPV, etc) - and its technical metadata is shown as: pond-vlc_techmd

pond.dv has been a recurring sample of dv issues. It's in the ffmpeg sample library too https://samples.ffmpeg.org/V-codecs/DVSD/pond.dv.
