It has already been fixed last month: https://github.com/f3d-app/f3d/pull/2532 I'll keep this issue opened though because the example is not tested at the moment.
1 should be fairly easy to implement, but it has to be done in VTK. 2 would be interesting and that's not the first time someone ask for it.

Is it possible to make the logs selectable, so we can copy a part of the logs only by pressing CTRL+C?
Indeed, the validators online report it's valid. It's not clear to me what's VTK doing. When the file is a binary, the main buffer is saved first, then an empty...
