image I'm having this error when installing last release and also when building by myself.

what version of windows are you running? (winver will tell you this)

Building the latest master yields the same 14007 error for me:

If I add my build number to this line, that error no longer appears and the program seems functional. (At least, I think it does... I've never used i3wm or this program before.) Not sure why it's gated by build number, but to my I-cant-read-c++ eye, it seems like InitCom doesn't need to do any special behavior for 1904\d... so maybe it just works? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'd be happy to PR this if the fix is really this simple =)
