General Feature Requests for Different Rules
I found this code for my college Model United Nations club and we love it.
We use National Model United Nations Rules and the following features would be amazing:
- During Set-Up, allowing the removal of certain conditions (ie, amendments) and the changing of conditions (ie, 50% instead of 25%)
- During Set-Up, adding of the Holy See (Vatican City), South Sudan, and any other UN Member State
- During Set-Up, having a button that will alphabetize all members
- During Caucuses/Speakers List, allowing the restriction of for/against for speakers
- During Caucuses/Speakers List, allowing the creator of a committee to limit speaker to being in the queue only once
- During Motions, having the option to disable abstentions for voting on motions
- During Motions, having the ability to manually re-arrange motions
- During Voting, having the option while voting for a 50% simple majority ignoring abstentions
We dont want to seem demanding but none of us know how to code and would appreciate any assistance.
Hi @kkyle1521!
Thanks for leaving these feature requests.
Unfortunately these days, Muncoordinated's development is somewhat dormant. I used to have a lot of time to develop it while I was at uni, but I'm now a full-time software engineer and I'm lucky to have spare time to dedicate to side projects.
Some day I will restart Muncoordinated development and will hopefully add these features but I can make no promises or guarantees when that happens: some of these features are quite easy to do (having a button that will alphabetize all members) and some are significantly more work (having the ability to manually re-arrange motions).
If any of you would like to start learning to code and would like to attempt to add these features yourselves, I can be of a lot of support through that process. Give me a ping if you or anyone at your college would like to have a crack at contributing back to the project!
